Day 17 we stayed in the Fairbanks, AK area. We all took showers and did some laundry in
the morning. We then headed up to the
Gold Dredge, but we missed the 10:30 AM tour and the next one was not until
1:45 PM. We took a few pictures of the
Alaska Pipeline and then drove down to the Discovery III Paddle wheeler.
At 2 PM we boarded the boat and went for a very nice cruse. I would recommend the 3 hour trip. It was very informative. We stopped and got off the boat at a replica
of an Indian village and trapper camp.
We went to three different stations where native Indians shared their
culture. It was very interesting.
It was another very hot day.
Got up to 86 degrees. When we got
back to camp, we turned on the air conditioning
and watched CSI Las Vegas. After
the news we went to bed.
